  • Mathematics for business and finance - Prof. Giada Cianfarani Carnevale - a.a. 2026/2027

    Giada Cianfarani Carnevale, PhD.
I am an Adjunct Professor of Mathematics for Business and Finance at the University of Teramo.
I hold a PhD in Mathematics from the University of L’Aquila, where I also carried out research in mathematical analysis, partial differential equations, and fluid dynamics. My academic experience includes research activities and teaching support for undergraduate and graduate mathematics courses.
Alongside my academic career, I work as a government official at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
    About the Course:
The course consists of 60 hours of teaching and will be jointly taught with Professor Elena Fabrizi.
The course aims to provide students with a solid foundation in mathematical methods and their applications to business, economics, and finance.
The main topics include functions, sequences, limits, continuity, differential and integral calculus, linear algebra, matrices, and systems of linear equations. Particular attention will be given to optimization techniques, including applications to economic problems, and mathematical models involving functions of several variables.
Throughout the course, theoretical concepts will be complemented by practical examples and exercises to help students develop analytical and problem-solving skills relevant to economic and financial decision-making.
