The course will provide the basics of program evaluation. The classes have the following learning goals:1.Understanding what evaluation is and its role in government2.Applying evaluation designs, methods, and criteria appropriately3.Learning the practicalities of organizing and contracting evaluation research4.Translating evaluation findings into program actions5.Incorporating ethical, gender and equity considerationsThe exam is based on an essay applying evaluation concepts and methods to a selected case study.
